Article Classification and Formatting Guidelines
Manuscripts are categorized into the following groups based on the outlined criteria. While authors are encouraged to suggest a classification during submission (mention in the cover letter), the Editor and Associate Editor retain the right to make the final classification, acknowledging the subjective nature of this process. The chosen classification will be displayed in the printed manuscript above the title.
1. Editorial
- Authored by Editors, Associate Editors, or Invited Guest Editors.
- Addresses diverse subjects of interest to Journal readers.
- Typically, shorter than one page.
2. Letter to the Editor
- Submitted by readers.
- Supports, refutes, or adds relevant information to a previously published article.
- Authors may correct their work or respond to critiques.
- No abstract required.
- Peer-reviewed similarly to other articles.
3. Commentary
- Based on author suggestion or reviewer recommendation.
- Represents the author’s perspective, opinion, or hypothesis.
- Limited original data; encourages corroborative literature data format does not follow the standard outline.
4. Review
- Author-suggested.
- Broad topic scope of interest to a wide readership.
- Comprehensive coverage using clear language, figures, and images.
- Overview of published information; minimal original data.
- Abstract and keywords required; includes a substantial number of references.
5. Research
- Follows the standard outline.
- Supported by significant and relevant data developed by the authors.
- Conclusions based primarily on presented data compared to published literature.
6. Technology/Application (or Case Studies)
- Describe a particular technology or application.
- Original data supporting technology development or application.
- May follow the standard outline.
- Emphasizes new processes or technologies.
7. Case Series
- Reports a series of 2-6 similar, unusual cases.
- Provides a unique perspective on disease aspects.
- Addresses diagnostic and therapeutic challenges with possible solutions.
- Comprehensive literature review required.
8. Case Reports
- Describes previously unreported entities or new perspectives on known diseases.
- Includes a comprehensive review of similar cases.
- Accompanied by clinical, radiological, and pathologic images.
9. Case in Images
- Meets case report criteria with 10-25 figures allowed.
- Includes clinical, radiological, pathological images, or a series of procedural images.
10. Clinical Images
- Includes clinical, diagnostic, or investigative images.
- Accompanied by a brief history, case discussion, and conclusion.
- No abstract required; undergoes peer review.
11. Policy Bridge
- Focuses on connecting scientific knowledge with policy issues, options, or analysis.
12. Conference Proceedings
- Includes papers presented at conferences, usually published in a volume.
Manuscript Submission, Review, and Decision Process
Requirements for Submission:
Submissions to Research Profundities must adhere to the following criteria for consideration:
- The submission represents original work not published or submitted elsewhere.
- Research must be original, offering valuable insights for fellow researchers.
- Futile hypotheses and failed experiments require sound reasoning.
- Experiments, statistics, and analyses should meet high technical standards and be fully detailed.
- Conclusions and discussions must be clear, unambiguous, and supported by data.
- Emphasis on the importance of research in the respective field.
- Features should include a prospective outlook, cover a broad research area, employ rigorous methodology, and provide adequate evidence for conclusions.
- Fair and thorough treatment of previous literature.
- Adherence to ethical standards in experimentation and research integrity.
- Compliance with reporting standards and guidelines for data publication.
- Avoid presenting raw or unprocessed data.
- Clear and unambiguous writing in Standard English.
Submission Components:
Manuscripts should be submitted by one of the listed authors in Word or PDF format through the submission portal. Components include a cover letter, manuscript, figures, tables, and supplemental material.

Authors are encouraged to suggest 3–5 external reviewers and may indicate researchers who should not review the submission.
Review Process:
Our journals, led by an Editor-in-Chief and supported by Associate Editors, are committed to fair, timely reviews and constructive feedback.
- Manuscripts undergo technical review by the Editorial Assistant.
- Assigned Manuscript ID numbers and acknowledgments are sent to authors meeting technical requirements.
- Manuscripts are sent for editorial and external peer review. Authors are informed of necessary revisions.
- Based on comments and recommendations, the manuscript undergoes external peer review.
- The Editor-in-Chief reviews submissions, assigns an Associate Editor, and makes a publication decision.
- The Associate Editor may recommend acceptance, minor/major revisions, or rejection.
- Authors receive feedback and are invited to revise accordingly.
- After acceptance, a Production Editor conducts a technical audit and prepares the manuscript for publication in various formats.
- A pre-print proof is sent to authors for approval and corrections.
- After receiving proof corrections, the final version is prepared for publication in HTML and PDF formats.
